On 10/16/2025 Olivia Forrester had this to say:
I eat at Homer’s a lot when I’m in town for work. Even with once-a-week visits, I’ve never gotten tired of it. My favorite orders are the pulled pork sandwich, oriental chicken wrap, and chicken noodle soup. It’s one of the best-value options, and seems to be a local favorite as there are always plenty of people dining in regardless of how late I’m there for lunch. It’s a large space with many tables. Connected is the Sweetheart Bakery, which I’ve enjoyed a few delicious treats from.

You can go in there and get great sandwiches and other stuff even if you have messy hair. My shoe was untied once and still got the things I wanted for eating.

On 10/2/2025 Super Sandwich Man 9000 had this to say:
This one time I was in there looking at the cookie aquarium near the register, and I asked the two women in red shirts if they knew if the ancient Egyptians had peanut butter. They didn't know. None of us did. I just ate the peanut butter fudge cookie which inspired the question and let me tell you, if the pyramid people did not have access to some version of this brown disk of Homer's's (I am not sure how to make a possessive proper noun possessive, but that looks right) deliciousness, they missed out. Of all the round shapes I have put into my mouth, I would say almost half came from Sweetheart Bakery. You would think that with Homer's and Sweetheart being so close, you should be able to get some sugar yums on the deli side that were made on the bakery side. You can! I have seen this. I've lived this. I have never, however, seen a fat meat sandwich on the Sweetheart Bakery side though. This should not prevent you from going there. You should do it. You should go there and eat food I mean. I eat food almost every day and at least one day out of the week some of the food was prepared by nice people wearing red shirts. But back to your question, yes. Sometimes I say yes when they ask me if I want a pickle. Come to think of it, I have never seen a pickle on the Sweetheart side either - not even a metaphorical pickle like... a puzzling situation from patrons or staff. I will bet that kind of pickle makes its way over to the pastry and cake side of the establishment than actual pickles do. I write this, not because I expect individuals on the bakery side to be prone to perplexity, but because life as a human can be strange and a pickle is really just a slice of fruit that got saggy from green jar water which reminds me, they have Diet Mountain Dew there too. They do not build it there like the other fun things but I have found Diet Dew (TM) to be a fine pairing with most every option on the menu from either side. Some people make fun of me when I call it pop. Not in Homer's though. Not even once. I still lower my volume some when I get to that part of my order. If the nice person in the read shirt doesn't hear me, I will repeat myself or just assume it wasn't meant to be that time. It's wild. You choose the thing you are hungry about and they listen to the words you say from the menu sign and they assemble the choice IN REAL-TIME. Not only that, but you actually get to watch them do it. And they don't look nervous or anything. No sandwich secrets here! Very on the up-and-up as they said on a show I saw on my Grandma's TV that was in the den. When you turned it off it made a sizzle sound and if you put your arm hair by it, your hair would get pulled toward the part where the people and cars and stuff appear when a VHS tape is played. It probably works the same if you put someone else's arm by it too. I didn't do experiments. They have Swiss cheese too. I get that but not exclusively and not every single time and I am in there at least once a week. Do you remember that part? I wrote that already. Oh! They ask if you want soup or salad. I like goulash but that is only there when it is a day that starts with T and it has to be cold outside. One time I sent a postcard to them about the goulash because I wanted some but I guess it was not chilly enough because the day started with a T that day. So, when you are standing in front of the observation window where they have those cool knives to shove around the mayonnaise, after the pickle metal bathtub, there are white bowls upside down. One of them looks kind of like the hat those monkeys wear with the vest when they are using musical instruments kind of like a person, but the soup cups are not red and no tasle so only like... 40% hat similar. So, when I want to get some soup for later (or goulash!) I asked them to put it into a monkey hat bowl. No one laughed over it yet but I laugh in my car pretty hard on the days I was hoping for goulash but it was not in season because laughter is good medicine. Did you know that goulash is from Hungary? That is another funny food joke you should try to say even if other people in line already laughed at monkey hat. In summary (do not expect goulash when it is summery), I think the Fonz from Happy Days would like Homer's if he was real because you can get sandwiches with bread that is made from the bakery side which is cool. That's symbiosis. Sandwich symbiosis they call it in college probably - at the post grad level sometimes they could perhaps say it; in a symposium. And I like the spray bottles! Like getting the cat off the counter but the cat is your sandwich and it belongs on the counter so no one is mad. So I think you should. Testimonial written by Super Sandwich Man 9000 on this site.

Homer's Deli Salads
Who hasn't had Homer's Deli's famous homemade salads?!? Our home made pasta salad is made with our secret creamy sweet dressing and crisp veggies. Our potato salad is made with local potatoes, fresh peeled eggs and crisp veggies and is one of our biggest sellers. We also make pea salad with fresh peeled eggs and chunks of cheddar cheese. You can buy our salads by the pound according to your serving needs. Our cooler is always stocked with one-pound and two-pound containers if you are looking for a quick and easy addition to lunch, dinner, or even a family or friend get together. We also make Oreo fluff and strawberry fluff as a special order.

Our made from scratch soups are a huge hit any day of the week! We use only the best ingredients to make these delicious, tummy-warming soups. You can order a cup, bowl, pint, or even a quart to take home with you. If you are planning a small get together, you can even order our soups by the gallon. Our soups vary depending on the seasons ... chicken noodle-made with our very own homemade noodles, potato bacon-made with smoked ham and locally grown potatoes, cheese broccoli-made with three kinds of Wisconsin cheese, goulash, and chili.

Our deli sandwiches are made with only full-muscled meats, Wisconsin cheeses, our own Sweetheart Bakery Breads/Buns, and a variety of fresh toppings. Order one of our specialty sandwiches, like a Reuben, or we will make any sandwich to your liking. We have ham, turkey, roast beef, corned beef, pepperoni, and salami to choose from, along with swiss, cheddar, American, provolone, and pepper jack cheese. Our girls also make our egg and chicken salad from scratch, along with smoking pork to make our delicious BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Homer's Deli also offers wraps and chef salads for those looking for a fewer carbs option. Many people choose our grilled chicken to add to these, along with all the fresh veggies we have available.
